I’ve learned that through time, life is full of little moments that compile to be the best and the worst times in life. When we least expect it, these moments rush back to us and keep us laying awake in complete shock. For me, it’s the ability to relive every single moment, in detail, down to the date, down to my outfit, down to a single spoken word, I live my days over and over in my head, where it’s the only place they can ever be again. In these moments I’ve learned a lot about the person I am, and the impact I’ve had on other people. One particular moment hit me today. Last year was probably one of the craziest rides of my life. I met a lot of people, and not only learned things about myself I never knew, but learned things about others that I will never forget. In my relationship, I met many family members from everywhere, across state borders, and city lines, a few times and then some, just once. At a graduation party at the beginning of summer, I met a little girl, home with her mom from Texas. I had met her mom a few times, here and there, and loved her, to say the least. For the time they were both home, we sat around and talked a bit, hung out with family, and then back home they went. A few weeks ago, I received a new message in my inbox on Facebook, “hello, we will be in town soon, and my daughter keeps asking if you will be around because she wants to see you.” No one understands how I take these moments and am so thankful for them. I think it says a lot about a person, when people find something about you that they love, and they never forget it, or you. Many people have come and gone in your life, as did I. But I’ve learned that these little moments are what will forever be the reason that we will always remain together in each other’s hearts.
